Registering on the repository (Doshisha researchers)

1. Accessible documents

Below are the kinds of papers and documents that can be registered on the Doshisha University Academic Repository.

(1) Doshisha in-house bulletins
(2) Papers published by Doshisha centers and research centers
(3) Reports from research centers
(4) Academic dissertations (PhD.)
(5) In-house PR documents

2. Copyright

When registering documents on the Academic Repository, Doshisha University must get permission for reproduction rights and right of public transmission.
Reproduction rights: The right to copy the digital file onto the server when the document is registered on the Academic Repository.
Right of public transmission: The right to make the registered digital file available to be sent an unspecified number of times via the network.

Bulletins and similar publications must explain the need to get permission for these two above rights in their submission rules. Or, there must be a contract regarding permission between the publisher and the copyright holder.

When registering non-Doshisha publications, please keep the following in mind.

(1)
In the case of co-authors
The registrant shall be responsible for copyright processing matters, such as permission from the co-author to register the document on the Academic Repository.

(2)
When a publisher or academic society holds the copyrights
The author shall be responsible for copyright processing with the publisher or academic society. Confirm the publication’s submission rules.
In at least 90% of academic journals published overseas, papers that have been refereed (author’s final draft, a portion is publisher’s version) are accepted for registration on the repository.
