About eBooks Services

①eBooks that are already purchased

You can read all the pages with no time restriction.
Downloadable as PDF and printable (excluding some titles).
Searchable on various search tools including DOORS.
②eBooks that are available on eBooks service (not purchased yet)

All the pages are available for trial reading for limited time (excluding some titles).
Displayed as “Trial Reading” on the respective platforms.
You can make a purchase request. If the title is purchased, its category will be changed from ② to ①.
③Books that are generally circulated

There are many books that do not come up (not available) on the eBooks service.
“Maruzen eBook Library” and “KinoDen” accept requests for digitizing titles that are not yet available.
Making a request does not guarantee that the title will be digitized.
If the title gets added, its category will be changed from ③ to ②.

Use of eBooks at Educational Institutions

At universities and other educational institutions, the use of eBooks in the following ways is not permitted.
Please ensure that your use complies with the Copyright Act and the terms of use established by the provider.
Please note that purchase requests for titles from "KinoDen" and "Maruzen eBook Library" will be denied if the reason provided for the purchase suggests that eBooks will be used in the following ways:

・Using eBooks as a substitute for textbooks that students are required to purchase.
・Using different sections of the same work multiple times during class, resulting in the use of a substantial portion of that content.
