Library Hours on the Approach of Typhoons and Storms

In the event that public transportation is suspended or a storm warning or an emergency warning is issued, the library hours will be rescheduled as follows.
In addition, if all campuses are closed or all classes are cancelled for any reason, the library will be closed temporarily.

• The library will be closed if any of the following conditions apply. Please refer to “1. Train and Bus Services” below.
• After reopening the train and bus services, the Library will decide when to open based on the time of reopening the service. Please refer to “2. Time of Reopening the Service and Library Hours” below.
• In case of temporary interruptions of the following train and bus services due to an accident, the library will be open as usual.

When both Kyoto City Bus and Subway services are suspended in all service areas at the same time

When two or more of the following train services A to D are suspended at the same time (in all or part of the service areas)

• If a storm warning or an emergency warning is issued for any of the municipalities in the following areas classified Prefecture / Area 1 / Area jointed municipalities / Area 2 by Japan Meteorological Agency, the Library will be closed. Please refer to “1. Areas and Municipalities”.
• After cancellation of the warning, the Library will confirm the safety and decide when to open based on the time of cancellation of the warning as listed below. Please refer to “2. Time of Cancellation of the Warning and Library Hours” below. However, even after that, the library hours may be subject to change depending on the situation.
