Doshisha University Library Public Transmission Service (eDDS)
This is a service to provide a part of materials held at our library in PDF files in order to support research activities by students and faculty of Doshisha University.
※This is a paid service. The total amount of the remuneration based on Article 31, paragraph(5) of the Copyright Act and the administrative fees is the responsibility of the applicant.
※Application cannot be cancelled after it has been accepted.
※To use this service, agreement to the Terms of Service is required.
Service Overview
Eligibility: Students and full-time faculty and staff of Doshisha University
Purpose of use: Limited to “research and studies” by the applicant
Available materials: A part of paper-based materials (books, magazines etc.) held at Imadegawa Library and Learned Memorial Library
※Some materials may not be available due to poor condition. Materials excluded from transmission by the designated association cannot be provided either.
※In compliance with the Copyright Act, provision of a material is limited to a single copy per person.
How to Apply
Please apply by pressing the button “eDDS” that appears on the detailed search result page on the DOORS.
※Maximum number of applications accepted: up to 10 items per person per month
Files to be Transmitted
Resolution of files to be transmitted under this service is 200dpi in principle.
※PDF files are not OCRed.
Usage Fees and Payment Method
Usage fees for this service are the total of the amount of remuneration specified in the Article 3 of “Rules on the Remuneration for Public Transmission by Libraries or Similar Facilities” and the amount of administrative fees.

Amount of remuneration: Overview of the amount of remuneration is as follows.
Consumption tax will be added to the amount indicated.
Administrative fees (including system usage fee): 500 yen

※Copies are deemed to have been provided at the point of notification of the amount of usage fees. The administrative fees and remuneration incur regardless of whether you have actually downloaded the files or not.
