Opening of Doshisha University Library 2009-present

2009 Apr. Renamed Doshisha University Library
Nov. Publication of "Sho Jaku Kan," the Doshisha University Library Bulletin
2010 Mar. Opened Co☆labo, a learning facility, on the first floor of the Learned Memorial Library
Aug. Replaced the Academic Information System and Academic Repository System
Launched an integrated search service centered on electronic resources and a web browser-based work environment 
2012 Oct. Launched the RefWorks reference management tool 
2013 Mar. Launched the DOGS Plus discovery service

Apr. Reorganized the library administration into two departments and three units: 

  Dept. of Public and Technical Services and Dept. of Electronic Resources

Launched the Imadegawa Library Virtual Tour
Launched e-learning for library workshops
Installed a self-checkout machine in the former Imadegawa Library
2015 Feb. Library Staff Scrapbook published in the Academic Repository 
Aug. Replaced the Academic Information System, Academic Repository System, 
DOGS Plus, and Electronic Journals & E-books systems
Separated the Academic Information System for Doshisha Women's College of Liberal Arts from the shared system 
2016 Jan. Launched the federated search service 
Sep. Doshisha University Library Science School published in the Academic Repository
Started registering Doshisha Global Archives materials in the Academic Information System
2017 Oct. Started assigning JaLC DOIs to content registered in the Academic Repository
2018 Jan. Partially renovated the Learned Memorial Library;
the 1st floor became a Learning Commons, while the 2nd and 3rd floors remained library facilities 
Jan. Signed a cooperative agreement with the National Institute of Japanese Literature to promote the International Collaborative Research Network for Japanese Classical Books Project (effective through March 31, 2024) 
2019 Apr. Adopted the 10th edition of the Nippon Decimal Classification (NDC) 
2020 Aug. Replaced the Academic Information System
Aug. Migrated the Academic Repository System to JAIRO Cloud 
Sep. Replaced DOGS Plus and Electronic Journals & E-books systems 
2021 Jul. Launched the Doshisha University Digital Collections 
2022 Mar. Digitized the Rare Materials Collection under a grant program provided by the Library Advancement Foundation
2023 Jun. Began relocating library materials for the construction of the new Imadegawa Library
Aug. Closed the former Imadegawa Library 
Sep. Opened the Imadegawa Library (Neiseikan) 
Sep. Replaced the Academic Repository System
2024 Jun. Groundbreaking ceremony for the new Imadegawa Library
Nov. Revised the Doshisha University Academic Repository Operational Guidelines 
2025 Aug. Replaced the Academic Information System and Doshisha University Digital Collections 
Oct. Replaced DOGS Plus and Electronic Journals & E-books systems
